20mph speed limits in Edmonton, Palmers Green and Southgate town centres – now in operation

The 20mph speed limits in Edmonton, Palmers Green, and Southgate town centres officially come into effect today, Friday 6 March 2026.

These new speed limits help make streets safer, calmer, and healthier for everyone.

Cllr Sabri Ozaydin, Cabinet Member for Environment and Placemaking, and Cllr Rick Jewell, Cabinet Member for Transport and Waste, unveiled the new 20mph signs today indicating the new speed limit.
