20mph speed limits to come to Edmonton, Palmers Green and Southgate Town Centres

Thank you to everybody who submitted a response to the statutory consultation on the proposed 20mph speed limits in Edmonton, Palmers Green and Southgate town centres. Following this period of consultation, the decision has been made by Cabinet Member for Climate Action and Placemaking, Cllr Sabri Ozaydin, to implement the scheme in these town centres.

We are now preparing to start construction in these town centres and expect to begin in the next few weeks. The feedback we have received from residents will continue to inform how we make streets safer across the borough and the delivery of 20mph speed limits. We’ll be posting further updates on this page in due course.
