Climate Action Plan Review Engagement

The protection of our planet’s climate is one of the most pressing issues of our time. Climate Enfield has declared a Climate Emergency in 2019 and adopted its Climate Action Plan in 2020, laying out its vision for a net-zero council by 2030 and a net-zero borough by 2040. This vision was supported by over a hundred actions in seven areas (Buildings, Energy, Travel, Waste, Natural Environment, Finance and Influencing others). One of our commitments is to review the Climate Action Plan every two years, so by the end of the year we are currently seeking to engage with residents, businesses and community groups to discuss the contents of the current plan to:

• receive feedback, and discuss ideas for any amendments
• provide an opportunity to voice concerns and opinions
• gather new ideas for climate action
• explore ways of working in partnership.
