The Big Draw: A Tapestry of Community

We held the Big Draw: A Tapestry of Community event on Saturday, 18th October. There were lots of colourful fabrics, weaving hands and big ideas for the future of the Green as well as the Town Centre’s long-term strategy.

The event was organised by the Edmonton Green Steering Group (Doodle Design, Exodus Youth Worx, Northside Youth) with the support of Enfield Council as part of The Big Draw Festival; the world’s largest celebration of drawing, bringing people together through the power of creativity. Members of the public gathered to weave, draw, and dream up ideas for the future of Edmonton Green. Alongside Jas Bhalla Architects, who are the Architects working with us on the project we explored big ideas to reimagine the town centre, from activating the arches and revitalising the public realm, to bringing Salmon’s Brook to the surface and creating a more connected civic space.

There’s still an opportunity to voice your thoughts and feedback in the survey on the project’s Let’s Talk Page:

We will also be hosting a range of activities and workshops in the coming months, be sure to subscribe to the page to stay up to date on future announcements and all the latest developments of the project. Looking forward to seeing you there.
