School Street – Fleecefield and Brettenham Primary Schools will soon be in full operation
School Street Update – Fleecefield & Brettenham Primary Schools
The School Street serving Fleecefield Primary School and Brettenham Primary School will become fully operational after the Easter holidays.
From 13 April 2026, enforcement will begin using ANPR cameras.
Operational Hours
Monday–Friday (term time only)
- 8:15–9:15am
- 3:00–3:45pm
During these times, only vehicles with a valid exemption will be able to enter the zone.
The School Street zone includes North Avenue, Folkestone Road, and parts of Brettenham Road, Ascot Road, Felixstowe Road and Sebastopol Road as shown in the map below.
Vehicles entering the zone during these times without an exemption permit will receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
Exemption Permits – Applications Now Open
Some vehicles are eligible for free exemption permits. Exemptions are not automatic, and must be applied for before enforcement begins.
