Let's Talk: Enfield Local Plan

The Enfield Local Plan 2019-2039 will be the key planning policy document for the borough. Once adopted, it will contain policies that will set the spatial direction for Enfield to 2039 and beyond and will be used in determining planning applications.

The draft Local Plan sets out how growth will be delivered in a sustainable manner that maintains and enhances the quality of the many distinctive places that make up the borough. In addition to addressing Enfield’s acute housing crisis, it also enhances infrastructure provision and access to green spaces and nature, improves biodiversity and tackles climate change.

The public consultation is now closed. Thank you for submitting your comments on the main issues and preferred approaches presented in the document. We value and appreciate your feedback, it will help to create the version of the plan we want to adopt.
