New River to Brick Lane June 2024 – Decision to implement Phase 1 (Section 2 and Section 4)

Thank you to those who took part in the statutory consultation on the proposed changes to road humps in Donkey Lane and Brick Lane and waiting restrictions in Brick Lane, Cambridge Gardens, Ladysmith Road and Oldbury Road (reference TG52/1547).

Following careful consideration of the objections and representations received, it has been decided to progress with the implementation of Phase 1 (Section 2 and Section 4) of the New River to Brick Lane Walking and Cycling Route project and make the above traffic order.

Changes to waiting restrictions have been made to deliver improvements to Ladysmith Road to improve the visibility and accessibility to the entrance to Enfield Playing Fields Park, Cambridge Gardens to enhance traffic flow and road safety, Oldbury Road to increase visibility to the alleyway entrance and Brick Lane to introduce buildouts that feature rain gardens as traffic calming measures.
