You’re invited to celebrate the launch of Enfield Council’s Shaping Edmonton: a transformative programme to improve Edmonton in partnership with the local community.

At the event you'll have the opportunity to hear from the Leader of Enfield Council and the project team, and enjoy refreshments and entertainment including music, caricature art, an embroidery workshop, and a special Shaping Edmonton board game delivered in partnership with Fore Street for All.

Join Reeshab Ragvani, an aspiring medic, as he debunks social media myths and empowers young people for a healthier future. 4-6pm at The Community Room, Fore Street Living Room Library
Trash to Treasure
Join local artist Christina Kalinowski from Doodle Designs as she shows you how to turn recycled materials into beautiful, handmade items like jewellery and crafts for the home. 11-1pm at The Community Room, Fore Street Living Room Library

Litter picks starting at 11am and 1.30pm Meet at the Living Room Library
Join us to litter pick, share ideas, and reimagine how Fore Street could be cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone.
Come along whether you want to chat, litter pick, or both! All equipment will be provided, with refreshments in the Living Room Library at the end of each session.

Over the past six months, we’ve worked with the community to shape, design, and begin projects that are already making a difference in Edmonton.
This event is your opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made together, explore projects being delivered, share your voice in shaping Edmonton’s future, and experience cultural activities under the theme “Stories of Edmonton” in partnership with Fore Street for All.
Join us on Thursday 30 October for an afternoon of activities:
- Family-friendly half-term lantern and sign-making workshops
- A special pop-up market on Leeds Street
- Cultural performances
- The project team will be on hand to share updates and hear your ideas
- Free refreshments

Free Film Night at Angel Community Centre
Join us on Wednesday 10 December for two free film screenings at Angel Community Centre. These events celebrate storytelling, creativity and our local community, and form part of our work to shape a vibrant and welcoming future for the space. Although both screenings are free, space is limited so we ask people to book in advance via Eventbrite to make sure a space is reserved on the day.

A festive favourite for families and neighbours to enjoy together. Share a cosy winter moment as we journey to the North Pole. Free popcorn will be available for everyone.

Evening Screening: London Short Films – Exploring Community and the City
Doors open: 6.30pm
Screening starts: 7pm
This special programme brings together films from the London Community Video Archive and new work by Rhea Storr. Curated by Phoebe Beckett Chingono, the films explore the meaning of a community centre, the power of collective organising, and the way film can act as “a surface, a space, a gathering”.
The programme includes:
- Okay Keskidee, Let Me See Inside! (2025)
- Subjects of State, Labours of Love (excerpt, 2025)
- A selection from the London Community Video Archive (1970s–1980s)
This pilot screening is part of ongoing improvement works at Angel Community Centre, helping us test how film can support and inspire community use of the space. Free popcorn will be available.

Community House Celebration Event: Refurbishment Launch & Shaping Edmonton Showcase
The Community House Celebration Event is a free afternoon gathering taking place on Wednesday 18 February from 2pm - 4pm at Community House, 311 Fore Street, Edmonton, N9 0PZ.
This special event marks the unveiling of the newly refurbished Community House, the official showcase of the Snack ’n’ Chat Café, and highlights the continued progress of the Shaping Edmonton programme.
Open to local residents, partners, and community members, the event offers a welcoming opportunity to explore the revitalised space, meet contributors, and learn more about how the building can be used for room hire, workspace, and community activities.
The afternoon will include:
A first look at the refurbished Community House
Showcase of the Snack ’n’ Chat Café
Information on room hire and flexible workspace opportunities
An opportunity to meet the artists behind the ground floor community-crafted murals
Updates on the latest projects and developments within the Shaping Edmonton programme
Tea, coffee, and light refreshments provided

Join us at our weekly Culture Club Sessions - a friendly space for Edmonton’s communities to meet, share stories and connect over refreshments and creative activities.

Fore Street Summer Fair
Join us for a free community celebration at the Fore Street Summer Fair on Saturday 11 July, from 11am to 2pm at Florence Hayes Recreation Ground.
Hosted as part of the Shaping Edmonton programme, the event will celebrate 18 months of improvements delivered across Edmonton, including the reopening of the newly improved Florence Hayes Recreation Ground.
Families, residents and local organisations are invited to enjoy a fun summer atmosphere with free activities, music, games and community stalls, while finding out more about the changes happening across the area.
Activities include:
- Community stalls and activities
- Family scavenger hunt around the park
- DJ Bus
- Face painting
- Plant stall
- Basketball skills
The event will also showcase the park’s new inclusive play equipment and improved facilities, shaped with local residents and young people, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Shaping Edmonton is a partnership between Enfield Council and the local community, working together for a welcoming and thriving Edmonton.
Come along, meet your neighbours, explore the improved park and help celebrate a healthier, greener and more welcoming Edmonton.
