Construction nearly complete at Raynham Doorstep Green
This week, students from Raynham Primary School helped with finishing touches to the improvements at Raynham Doorstep Green, joining the project team to plant flowers in some of the newly created beds.
The planting workshop took place ahead of the completion of construction works in the park that have delivered significant improvements to greenery, gates and fences and play equipment over the last four months.
Raynham Primary School have been involved in the development of the project over the last year, taking part in workshops to help the project team in the design of an exciting and renewed play area, and developing artwork that has been incorporated into a new gate on the park’s western entrance.
The play area is now fully reopened, with several new and renovated pieces of equipment for young people to enjoy as the sunny weather of spring arrives. Other improvements across the park include new seating and picnic areas, a dedicated dog exercise area and new bins.
The project team will be on site delivering final touches over the next few weeks, with an event celebrating the changes to take place in the coming months. Further installations, including new signage and wayfinding will be delivered in the summer, with no closure to the park or play area expected to take place. We thank local residents for their patience while the construction period has taken place.
Thank you for your contribution!
