Grow Joyce & Snell’s: a new community garden project

Enfield Council is working with residents in Edmonton to deliver projects that support health and wellbeing and create opportunities for people to get together.
The Council has supported the social enterprise Shared Assets and Catherine Max Consulting in securing funding from Legal & General’s Health Equity Fund to deliver a project with residents exploring the future of the Joyce & Snell’s Community Garden.
Over the coming year, the project team will work alongside residents to involve more people, including children and young people, in the existing community garden, develop a design brief for the future of the garden on the estate and identify options for the best way to manage the space in the long-term.
The project will include a series of weekly growing workshops in the current Community Garden, open to Joyce and Snell’s Estate residents. For information in how to take part, contact joyceandsnells@enfield.gov.uk or telephone Melike Koyman on 020 8132 0870
The project is being delivered alongside work to improve Boundary Hall as part of Shaping Edmonton and sits within the longer-term regeneration of the Joyce & Snell’s Estate.
