Evening Screening: London Short Films – Exploring Community and the City
Doors open: 6.30pm
Screening starts: 7pm
This special programme brings together films from the London Community Video Archive and new work by Rhea Storr. Curated by Phoebe Beckett Chingono, the films explore the meaning of a community centre, the power of collective organising, and the way film can act as “a surface, a space, a gathering”.
The programme includes:
- Okay Keskidee, Let Me See Inside! (2025)
- Subjects of State, Labours of Love (excerpt, 2025)
- A selection from the London Community Video Archive (1970s–1980s)
This pilot screening is part of ongoing improvement works at Angel Community Centre, helping us test how film can support and inspire community use of the space. Free popcorn will be available.
