Exemptions from camera enforcement filters for Blue Badge holders living in the area and TfL Dial-a-Ride vehicles

We have introduced a virtual permit system (“FOX Permit”) to the Fox Lane Area Quieter Neighbourhood (Fox Lane QN).

Blue Badge holders residing within the “FOX Permit Zone” as shown here can now apply for a FOX virtual permit. FOX virtual permit holders can nominate one vehicle to pass through camera enforced modal filters within the Fox Lane QN without receiving a Penalty Charge Notice. As a Blue Badge is personal, eligible Blue Badge holders must nominate the vehicle to which the exemption applies.

The virtual permit must be applied for as it is not able to be applied automatically to a Blue Badge holder. One vehicle per Blue Badge holder may be nominated. There is no charge for a permit.

Transport for London Dial-a-Ride vehicles are now also exempt from all camera enforced modal filters within the Fox Lane QN.

Camera enforced modal filters are in place at the following locations:

  • Meadway, south of Bourne Avenue;
  • Conway Road at its junction with Fox Lane; and
  • Fox Lane at the bridge over the railway.

New signage has been installed on site to reflect the exemptions for FOX virtual permit holders. There is no change to access for emergency service vehicles, which continue to be exempt from camera enforced filters.

Following the approval of the decision to remove the bollards at three locations within the Fox Lane QN and install cameras instead to enforce the no motor vehicle restriction, we have been preparing the sites for these changes. The three locations are:

  • Selborne Road at its junction with Fox Lane;
  • The Mall at its junction with Fox Lane; and
  • Oakfield Road at its junction with The Mall.

We are working to complete the change to camera enforcement at these three locations as soon as possible in the new year. Exemptions for emergency services, Transport for London Dial-a-Ride vehicles and FOX permit holders will automatically apply once these works are complete and the bollard has been removed.
