    Why is this needed?

Residents, shoppers, local businesses and others currently compete for limited on-street parking space in the area.

Permit controls would offer better balance to local parking arrangements and give priority to residents of the Holtwhites Hill area

    How will it help?

Residents, shoppers, local businesses and others currently compete for limited on-street parking space in the area. The proposed CPZ would provide on-street bays dedicated exclusively for use by permit holders living within the zone.

In addition, removing the availability of free all-day parking across the area may also encourage commuters to consider more sustainable travel options for their daily journeys, helping reduce parking pressure and local congestion on Holtwhites Hill.

This consultation provides you with the opportunity to make objections to the traffic management orders that need to be made if the scheme is to be introduced
