Consultation has concluded

Following feedback during the initial six months of the experimental period, the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. 161) Experimental Traffic Order 2018 has been modified to determine:

  1. whether an additional option for loading/unloading during off-peak periods can be accommodated on the western side of Winchmore Hill Broadway, outside Nos. 739 to 741 Green Lanes N21 without unduly impacting on other traffic.
  2. whether an additional ‘loading gap’ in Village Road EN1 can be created to facilitate loading and unloading during off-peak periods without reducing the effectiveness of the cycle lane.

In addition, the Enfield (Stop and Shop Parking Places) (No. 2) Experimental Traffic Order 2018 has also been modified to determine the additional benefits of extending the maximum length of stay in the Stop and Shop bay on the western side of Green Lanes N21 (by Compton Road) from 15 to 20 minutes.

A copy of the notice, the statement of reasons, the modification orders and the associated plans can be viewed through the document library to the right of this page.

The consultation period relating to these modifications ended on 3 June 2020 and it has been decided to make the orders permanent, as modified. The report considering the additional representations relating to the modifications is included in the document library, along with the made orders, the plans and the formal notice of making.
