What is Levelling Up Funding?
Enfield Council have been awarded £11,902,562 of Levelling Up Funding Round 3 (LUF3) for Angel Edmonton from the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).
The bid focused on a programme of projects in Angel Edmonton delivering on LUF themes: Town Centre Regeneration, Culture and Transport.
The bid was developed with the local community to deliver ways of increasing footfall, create local jobs, reduce crime, encourage active travel and create a more attractive physical environment.
Building on the Good Growth funded projects (Angel Yard, Living Room Library, Grove Street School Street & Fore Street Murals), the programme aims to improve the lives of Upper Edmonton residents, supporting them through significant change and ensuring they can benefit from opportunities delivered vis Joyce and Snell's and Meridan Water developments.
What Projects are proposed?
Currently the programme consists of 16 projects (5 of which have already been delivered as part of The Mayor of London's Good Growth funding).

Angel Yard
What is Angel Yard?
Angel Yard is a creative hub containing 35 affordable workspaces designed for young local entrepreneurs.
How is this project funded?
The project is part-funded by the Mayor's Good Growth fund, Enfield Council and the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. What Artwork can be found in Angel Edmonton?
There are 42 Public Art installations throughout Angel Edmonton, which have been commissioned by varying community groups from 2020. 23 of these can be found along Fore Street. More information can be found on the Curate Enfield page.
