Have your say on the new Beryl bike parking bays

Consultation has concluded

Enfield Council have partnered with London-based cycling company Beryl to bring bike share to the Borough!

We will be installing Beryl bays (parking bays for the bikes) in locations across the Borough. We want to hear from you about locations you think would benefit from a bike parking bay. To the right is a current Beryl bay outside of Enfield Civic Centre.

When someone hires a Beryl bike they can ride it anywhere in Enfield, but are asked to park it in one of the designated bays. If no bay is available, they can leave it parked anywhere in Enfield for a small fee.

When determining locations for the Beryl bays, we will be considering the following:

  • Is there exisiting cycle infrastructure on site or nearby? (e.g. other cycle parking, cycle lanes)
  • Is it near public transport?
  • Is there at least 2m of pavement for pedestrians and other road users to move around?
  • Is it in a shady area?
  • What amenities are nearby? (e.g. schools, hospitals, shops, parks, office buildings)

When you are thinking of locations for Beryl bays please consider these points. Using the map below, place a pin in the location that you think could host a Beryl bay.

For more information on cycle parking in the Borough and to request cycle parking, visit the Cycle Enfield website.

UPDATE: We have updated the map to show you where we will be placing the first batch of bays. These are shown as the pink dots.
