Permit trial extended to two permits, and launch of feedback survey
Permit trial – up to two permits now available
Up to two resident permits per household or business are now available for eligible properties within the Bowes Primary Quieter Neighbourhood permit trial area. We recognise that many households rely on more than one vehicle, and this change is a response to feedback received.
The permit allows residents within the trial area to access their homes from the south by passing through the camera-controlled points at Warwick Road and Maidstone Road without receiving a Penalty Charge Notice.

Residents who already hold a permit for one vehicle do not need to reapply for their existing permit. Eligible residents will receive a letter this week informing them about this change and how to apply for a second permit.

We invite you to take part in a short survey about your experience of the neighbourhood since the permit trial scheme began, including any impacts you have noticed on traffic, safety, or how you travel. Your responses will help inform the council’s decision on next steps along with monitoring data collected during the trial. The survey is open to all residents inside and outside the trial area in the neighbourhood.
