Survey - Access to and from the area
Introduction
The Bowes Primary Area Quieter Neighbourhood has now been made permanent. In response to feedback, the Council would like to hear further views on whether the scheme would work better for residents if access was switched from the A406 North Circular Road to Bounds Green Road.
Things to consider
The roads shown in blue are currently accessed from the A406 North Circular Road. Vehicles can enter or exit these roads via Natal Road, Warwick Road, Highworth Road and Ollerton Road.
If an alternative design should be progressed following this engagement, this would mean it is easier for residents in the area shaded in blue to get to and from locations to the south by motor vehicle. If going to and from locations in the north, the journey would be longer than it is now. We would need to do further design work and consultation before any changes could occur, as well as confirm the funding arrangement for any change.
This engagement is in addition to changes we have proposed, including exemption permits for Blue Badge Holders for the camera-controlled closures. Permits allow Blue Badge holders to nominate a motor vehicle of their choice to access roads such as Warwick Road from either the north (A406 North Circular Road) or south (Bounds Green Road). More information on exemptions for Blue Badge Holders can be found here.
