Enfield Council are looking to create a new wetland area in the north east corner of Chase Green (near Chase Green Avenue). The project will create new habitat for wildlife, provide flood storage for extreme events and improve water quality for local rivers.

We would like to seek the views of parks users and residents of the surrounding area on our proposals to introduce wetlands features in the north east corner of Chase Green. The aim of the project is to:

  • Increase the quality and quantity of rainwater flowing into the New River
  • Enhance the biodiversity and amenity value of Chase Green – making it better for people and wildlife.
  • Help to reduce the flood risk in Enfield Town centre by slowing the flow of runoff.

Please note that this consultation ends 5pm on Friday 25th November 2022.
