Elmhurst Road to Connop Road Controlled Parking Zone

Enfield Council is planning to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) within the boundaries of Turkey Street, Elmhurst Road, Connop Road and Turkey Brook. Hertford Road will cross the CPZ in the middle. The aim is to improve highway safety by reducing inconsiderate and indiscriminate parking. Controlled Parking Zones can also help reduce the number of vehicles circling the area in search of parking, which in turn lowers traffic congestion, noise, and air pollution. Residents and car owners within the proposed zone would be required to pay an annual permit fee. This fee helps cover the ongoing costs of administering, enforcing, and maintaining the scheme, as is the case with other CPZs in the borough.
