Enfield Town to Ponders End Station Construction Update July 2025

The works on the Percival Road/Bertram Road/Clive Road section of the Enfield Town to Ponders End Station Walking and Cycling Route was initially expected to commence in March and be completed by early April. Unfortunately, there was a delay in getting our lighting contractors on site, which has impacted our ability to complete the works as planned. We have now finalised the programme with our contractor and works will resume on 07 July 2025. The works are expected to last for 5 days, however this can be affected by unforeseen factors on site such as inclement weather.

The works will involve installing speed tables, applying new road markings, and modifying the existing road layout to introduce one-way systems. To carry out these improvements safely, each of the above roads will be temporarily closed in turn between 08:00 and 18:00 from Monday 7th July to Friday 11th July 2025. The closures will operate on a rolling basis, with only one road closed at a time, allowing for appropriate diversions and alternative parking arrangements. Advance warning signs will be placed in the area with details of the dates and times, and a signed diversion route will be in place during each closure.
