TfL Engagement - A10 Great Cambridge Road junction with Lincoln Road

Enfield Council is continuing to develop a network of active travel routes in Enfield to encourage more people to walk and cycle in the borough. Enfield Council is proposing a walking and cycling route from Enfield Town to Ponders End Station, which is funded by Transport for London (TfL).

Whilst Enfield Council are delivering most of this new route, TfL own the junction of the A10 Great Cambridge Road and Lincoln Road. They are now proposing changes to this junction including new or improved pedestrian crossings on all ‘arms’ of the junction, a new direct east-west cycle crossing, and widened footways.

TfL has launched a consultation on their proposals for changes to the A10 Great Cambridge Road and Lincoln Road junction. You can read more about the proposals and respond to the consultation on the TfL website here.
The consultation will be open for six weeks so you can respond at any time up to 13 March 2026.

In person drop in events

TfL are hosting community drop-in events for residents to view the proposals, ask questions and provide feedback.

The events will be held on Wednesday 11 February 2026 from 16:00 until 20:00, and Saturday 21 February 2026 from 11:00 until 14:00 at Wheatsheaf Hall, Main Ave, Enfield EN1 1DS.

Enfield Council officers will also be present to answer questions about the Enfield Town to Ponders End Station Walking and Cycling Route. As above, TfL are leading on the proposals for the A10/Lincoln Road junction.
