Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhood – Project Update, September 2026

We are currently reviewing the next phase of the Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhood project to ensure it delivers the best possible outcomes for residents, businesses and visitors.

The review is ongoing but has identified support for parts of the proposed scheme, including plans to create better public spaces, improve the town centre environment and make local roads safer and easier to use.

As part of this process, we have also identified some areas where further work is needed to ensure the next phase strikes the right balance for everyone who lives, works, shops and travels in Enfield Town.

We continue to work closely and positively with Transport for London to secure the improvements our town centre needs. Any proposed changes to the scheme will be considered through the Council's usual decision-making and scrutiny processes before any final decisions are made.
