Update on Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhood – Phase 2A Construction Programme

To support a welcoming and accessible environment in the town centre during the busy Christmas period, the Council will be pausing construction work being delivered as part of Phase 2A of the Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhood project from 1 December. This will help ensure residents, businesses and visitors can enjoy the festive season with reduced disruption. All works currently underway will be completed before the pause begins, and the area will be fully opened, with no temporary barriers, fencing or construction equipment left in place. The site will be made safe, tidy and accessible for all users throughout December.

Construction will resume in January 2026, with the project team working efficiently to complete the remaining elements of Phase 2A as early as possible in the new year. We expect the works to conclude in March, although the precise timeline will depend on weather conditions and site progress once works restart.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue delivering improvements that will enhance safety, accessibility and the overall experience of Enfield Town.
