Works resume on site for Phase 2

We are back on site and continuing with Phase 2a of the Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhood project.

Good progress has already been made, with the southern footway now complete and works well underway on the northern footway. The section of footway outside Metro Bank, along with the adjacent vehicle crossover, is nearing completion.

Next, works will move to the vehicle crossing next to Barclays. This phase will involve removing and reconstructing the crossing and is expected to take around two weeks.

Works have also begun in the area outside Market Square. In the coming weeks, new trees will be installed here, followed by new paving shortly afterwards. Once this section is complete, paving works will continue outside Barclays and are expected to take approximately two weeks.

Resurfacing works will soon take place on Church Street. These will be carried out overnight under a road closure and are expected to last around one week. Additional resurfacing works are also planned for Cecil Road.

This phase of works is due to be completed by the end of March. We will continue to provide updates as the project progresses and thank residents, businesses and visitors for their patience while these improvements are delivered.
