New School Street for Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School)

Following the statutory consultation TG52/1601, the decision has been made to introduce School Street for Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School).

Construction will begin during the week commencing Monday, 16 March 2026, and is expected to take approximately two to three weeks.

Residents and parents have been informed about the upcoming works and will receive further updates when the scheme is ready to launch.

This projects will increase the total number of School Streets in Enfield to 30. School Streets help create safer and healthier environments for children to travel to school by walking, wheeling, scooting, cycling, and other forms of active and sustainable travel.

A map of the School Street zone for Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School) is shown below. The School Street will operate on:

  • Rosemary Avenue
  • Primrose Avenue
  • Lavender Road
  • Hawthorn Grove

Once live, the School Street will operate between 8:00am to 9:00am and 3pm to 3:45pm, Monday to Friday, during school term times.
