New School Street launched at Bowes Primary School

The School Street at Bowes Primary School will be launched on 29 April 2024! This means that entry into Highworth Road, between Union Road and the A406, will be restricted during term times Monday to Friday 8.30am-9.15am and 3.00pm-3.45pm. The decision to implement the School Street was made following a statutory consultation held in May 2022 and a subsequent follow up with Transport for London.

School Streets create a safer and cleaner space around schools by reducing motor vehicles near the school gates and entrances. It's enforced using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, so a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued if a vehicle drives through the area during the hours of operation without an appropriate exemption.
