School Street Update for Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School)
We are creating safer, healthier streets around Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School), making it easier for children and families to walk, wheel and cycle to school.
Construction is nearing completion, with signs and infrastructure in place. The School Street for Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School) will be live from 13 April 2026, after the Easter break holidays.
What’s happening now
We are currently finalising the permit application system.
Until this is in place, no enforcement will take place. In the meantime, we ask everyone to follow the School Street timings to help create a safer and more pleasant environment for the school community.
Permits and enforcement
Eligible residents, businesses and other exempt groups will be able to apply for a free permit.
We will contact you again later this Spring with full details on:
When applications open
How to apply
When enforcement will begin
There will be a period between applications opening and enforcement starting, so there will be plenty of time to apply.
