School Street Update for Highfield Primary School

The School Street at Highfield Primary School will soon be fully operational, helping to create a safer and healthier environment for pupils, families and the local community.

From 7 September 2026, the scheme will be enforced using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras during the School Street's operating hours.

Operational Hours

Monday–Friday (term time only)

  • 8:30–9:15am
  • 2:45–3:45pm

During these times, motor vehicles should not enter the School Street zone unless they have an exemption.

The zone includes:

  • Highfield Road

  • Cedars Road

  • Stanbridge Place

  • Carpenter Gardens

  • Christine Worsley Close

Vehicles entering the zone during these hours without an exemption will receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

Exemption Permits – Applications

Some vehicles are eligible for free exemption permits. Exemptions are not automatic and must be applied for before enforcement begins.

Residents within the School Street zone

Apply online at: https://www.enfield.gov.uk/services/parking/parking-permits-rb (create an account if applying for the first time)

Parents/carers who are Blue Badge holders or SEN pupils

Apply via the school (contact the school office)

Dial-a-Ride and emergency services can access the zone at all times without applying.
