Statutory Consultation – Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School) School Street
Enfield Council is proposing new School Street at the following location:
- Enfield County School for Girls (Lower School): Rosemary Avenue, Primrose Avenue, Lavender Road, and Hawthorn Grove.
This follows the successful rollout of 26 School Streets across the borough. The initiative is part of the Council’s Journeys and Places programme, which supports sustainable travel choices for individuals, communities, and the environment.
What is a School Street?
A School Street is a designated walking and cycling zone that operates Monday to Friday during school term time, specifically during drop-off and pick-up times. The aims are to:
- Improve safety for students arriving and leaving school
- Enhance air quality around school areas
- Encourage walking, cycling, and scooting to school

We invite residents, businesses, school staff, parents, and other stakeholders to take part in the statutory consultation on draft traffic order TG52/1601.
