Shaping Edmonton

    What is Shaping Edmonton?

Shaping Edmonton is a transformative programme of 11 projects being delivered across Edmonton to enhance the public realm, improve green spaces and revitalise community spaces.

    How is Shaping Edmonton funded?

Enfield Council secured £11.9 million of investment from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to deliver this positive change across Edmonton.

    What projects will be delivered?

The projects that will be delivered are:

Community and Food Hub: A space for learning, wellbeing, and growing food for others.

Boundary Hall: A temporary community space to host activities and events for residents and local groups.

St James Play Area: A new and improved play area on St James Open Space to replace the playground on Wadham Green.

Florence Hayes Recreation Ground: An improved play area for everyone who uses it, including local schools and residents

Leeds Street Market: A revitalised market with more to offer including food stalls and other retailers

Angel Community Centre: A celebrated and enhanced cultural and community space.

Raynham Doorstep Green: A more accessible and welcoming park, with more things to see and do

Community House: An upgraded community hub for local groups who meet and work there.

Fore Street Public Welcome: A more vibrant, safer and thriving high street in Edmonton

Claremont Street Neighbourhood Improvements: Improving the neighbourhood with more greenery, and safer junctions, footways and streets.

Sterling Way Crossing: A safe crossing point to Silver Street Station over Sterling Way.

    How can I get involved?

We will be working alongside and in partnership with the local community in Edmonton to design and deliver this transformative programme of work.

There will be engagement activities and events held where residents, businesses, visitors and users of spaces and others who are interested can input into the design for these projects. Information on these activities will be posted on this page and promoted on the Journeys and Places Facebook and X pages. You can register for updates using the 'Subscribe' tool on this project page (top right corner of the page).
